Philippians 3:7-16 (today's May 16th)

In Philippians 3:7-16 God is telling me that all my earthly gains should be thought of a rubbish. This verse is even telling me that I cannot hold my physical possesions or my loving relationships in higher regard than that of my love of Christ. It is hard to refer to my loved ones as rubbish, but compared to my love of God, I suppose everything else must be considered fleeting! I know this doesn't mean God wants me to take any blessings I have on earth for granted, just not to worship my blessings on earth with the vigor I worship my Lord!
